The man is late 20’s, male human. Some sort of wizard so they are told not to let him talk or he will mind control you.
They buy manacles to bind his hands and the guards turn him over with a gag in his mouth. They tie his legs together too with a rope to the manacles to the leg rope. They attach his rope to the wagon too.
They get some wax candles, liquor, a burro and a wagon. They get a horse to pull the wagon, a tarp to put over it and pillows for the folks who have to ride in the back. They get an extra wheel as well.
The prisoner is literate and they are able to communicate with him via written word.
They wait until the morning to set off.
They feed him when they have ear plugs in and give him alcohol to drink to keep him “relaxed”.
He does try and talk, but they have the wax in their ears.
When he has to go to the bathroom, Hobb watches over him with wax in his ears. He makes “money” signs to them, but they don’t take the bribe.
At night they decide to camp out at night rather than go to an inn to make sure that he doesn’t mind control others.
They tie him up under the wagon to keep him covered. They tied a rope between him and Hobb to make sure if he tries to escape they know.
On the first watch, 2 ruffians come and attack. They shoot two arrows that miss and hit the wagon. They back off.
Tyme slings a rock out at them as they back off, but doesn’t hit.
A few hours later, they come back and try again.
Balor sees them and wakes up the Tyme who gets her sling going. They wake up Hobb too.
Balor cast light on one of their eyes.
Tyme hits the other with a sling stone for 3 points of damage.
Hobb shoots one with an arrow. Balor charges at them.
The one who can’t see hits Hobb for 9 points.
They shoot Hobb twice more for 9 more.
Balor reaches them and whacks the one who isn’t glowing with his hammer.
They ignore him and shoot at the prisoner. They hit him with one arrow for 3 points.
Hobb put in the wax ear plugs and takes off the prisoner’s gag.
The prisoner heals himself.
Balor and the fighters keep exchanging blows.
The prisoner heals Hobb for 15 points.
Hobb grabs his harpoon and joins the fight.
Hobb harpoons the glowing one.
Tyme hits the non-glowing one with a stone and he drops.
Balor hits the other with his mace and he drops.
Hobb binds their wounds to prevent them from dying.
They find the wagon is covered in darkness.
Hobb puts in his ear plugs and heads back into the dark bubble.
Hobb finds the wagon and tells the guy not to worry.
When he doesn’t hear a reply he takes out an ear plug and the guys says “there will be others” then “wait, you can hear me” and then Hobb puts the plugs back.
They put the unconscious attackers in the wagon and they set off down the road.
They attackers have only their weapons and a few coins. No identifying things at all with conspicuous normal clothes.
The prisoner checks the bandages to make sure the attackers are going to live.
They exchange notes with the prisoner:
How do you know these people? I don’t.
Why were you afraid of them? They were shooting at us.
Why were they after you? I’m not sure.
You’re not a good wizard are you? I’m not a wizard.
They go into town and wake the sherif.
He will take the prisoners.
The prisoner heals Balor.
Hobb decides to talk to him and the prisoner says he is a priest who was on a pilgrimage.
He doesn’t know why he was arrested, but they gagged him and accused him of being a mage.
Hobb believes him and takes him to the church in the village.
The prisoner prays.
Hobb falls asleep.
Tyme follows them and offered to get him a holy symbol.
Balor joins them in the church and asks questions.
What did they say when they arrested you? They said he was a mage wanted by the count.
Did you witness something you shouldn’t have? Not that I know of.
Do you have a twin who is a mage? I’ve have a brother and sister. Neither a twin. Neither a mage.
Where are you from? The main land on ocean surface. The duchy of Tellan.
They debate what is going on and decide to talk with him more.
They ask the local priest to give him a quiz and see if he’s really a priest.
The priest checks him out. He tells them he seems to be a priest.
They decide to continue and make it look like the prisoner is still restrained.
They set off again. Traffic is heavier.
They travel all day and reach a town at evening.
They get two rooms at the farmer’s inn.
They set up a fake “prisoner” in the bed with a fake person sleeping next to the bed. They put snares around the room with trip wires just inside the room.
They all go sleep in the other room.
The prisoner sleeps under the bed.
In the night someone tries to sneak into the room and gets caught in the snare. The innkeeper calls the guards who comes and arrests the person.
They sleep through all of this.
In the morning Tyme finds out what’s happening and sneaks through to get what they left in the room.
Hobb and Tyme check out the horse and wagon.
There is an assassin on the bottom of the wagon.
Hobb draws his saber and attacks.
The assassin drops off and Tyme pushes him to the ground and puts her dagger to his throat.
The priest is “Harry”.
They get the wagon ready to go while Balor goes to talk to the person caught during the night.
The prisoner tells him he is a clock salesman going farm to farm. His wholesaler is a man named Bob with a warehouse somewhere.
The other one they arrested agrees with this story.
Balor is skeptical.
Hobb goes and buys and awl.
The others wait by the wagon by the constable’s office to see if they let the “clock salesmen” go.
They set off. Traffic is the heaviest yet.
At sunset they get to the big town at the edge of the lake.
They pick a mid sized inn.
They get two rooms next to each other.
This time they rig the traps with bells.
They send Hobb to mingle in the common room while other set up the traps.
Hobb picks someone he thinks might be an assassin and tries to annoy him.
The person doesn’t seem too annoyed so Hobb leaves.
In the night they see a trip wire move. Balor goes to look in the hallway and sees someone with the door open and a long stick into the other room.
Balor gets stuffed in a bag and carried away.
Tyme comes out to look and doesn’t see Balor, but does see the other guy.
Tyme backstabs the other person.
She misses the first time, but he doesn’t notice.
She tries again and critically hits him dropping him.
The lantern he was holding on the stick does not set the inn on fire.
He was pouring oil around the room, so looks like he was going to set it on fire.
Balor is taken outside and his bag tired to a horse.
The horse is let loose and sent away.
Hobb gets the innkeeper and says there was a guy trying to get set the inn on fire who is now dead.
He will eventually put on his armor.
Hobb tries to follow the horse with Balor.
Back at the inn, the main assassin comes in to kill Harry,
“Your sister sends greetings to you,” the man says.
Tyme puts the dagger in his back and says “please tell me more.”
They discuss the situation and eventually Harry commands him to sleep.
Hobb catches the horse and free’s Balor. They start back.
Back at the inn they strip the assassin and search him. As they do, a really big human comes up.
“You didn’t pay to watch us,” Tyme tells him.
“Oh, sorry,” the guy says, closes the door and walks off.
They go off to another inn in the middle of the night.
They get to another inn.
Harry tells them his story. He was going to inherit his father’s lands, but gave it up to be a priest. His sister was supposed to inherit, so he doesn’t know why she’d be mad.

Date: 2017-12-04 07:34 pm (UTC)But then I thought about it, and it's actually WORSE than it looks like. Mostly naked guy, tied up, chick messing around with his remaining clothing... So.
"A little privacy please? we're kinda busy right now!" then, when he didn't leave "Hey- you didn't pay me to gawp!"
I figured if he caught sight of the priest it'd look even kinkier!
